A look at the #FreshCoastRetreat, a food blogger retreat, that I photographed in North Muskegon, Michigan this past April.
Ok, so first of all, this is probably one of the coolest events I’ve been able to be a part of. Liz, my friend (basically the coolest person I know) and client from The Lemon Bowl, hosted the retreat with Dara and Phi for a group of 15 bloggers from around the United States. The retreat took place at Liz’s cousin’s home on Lake Michigan which is also available for rent.
Sabra, one of the platinum sponsors, made sure to take care of us with plenty of tasty hummus and salsa.
Did I mention I was one of only three guys at this event?
Everyone was split up into different meal teams throughout the stay. This is a photograph of some lamb chops Dara made. The recipe is from Gina at Skinny Taste.
Shout out to Lindt Chocolate! S’mores for days!
Liz even accommodated for a morning of yoga!
The Fresh Coast crew.
Denise and Lenny from Chez US. These two are phenomenal at shooting video. I don’t even get into that portion of food but it was very impressive to see their workflow and hearing about their tips and tricks for better food videos.
Lenny has a career in novelas. I know it.
Alejandra Ramos and her delicious Ginger Peach Moscow Mules. Seriously though, they were so good.
Bob’s Red Mill was another sponsor for the retreat. They gave us all the breakfast goodies.
That’s Mairead on the left. She works for Stonyfield. She’s pretty awesome. Be like Mairead.
The dip challenge. Here we had everyone make a dipping sauce out of whatever they wanted in the house. It got pretty intense.
One final photo of the entire crew. I got to meet an incredible amount of humans that weekend to say the least. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me and thank you all for being so willing to be there for one another. One last thank you as well to all the sponsors! Sabra, Stonyfield, Experience Grand Rapids, and Bob’s Red Mill. We could not of done this without you.
