A look at a recent winter engagement photography session at the Wittenbach/Wege Center in Lowell, Michigan.
Recently I had the privilege of photographing Ashleigh and Kyle to celebrate their engagement. This was my first visit to the Wittenbach/Wege Education Center but it certainly won’t be my last. I believe this hidden gem in Lowell is one of West Michigan’s best kept secrets.
Because sun flares are awesome.
This place even has a cabin snuggled deep in the trails. It’s open to the public too which is great.
I love this photo because of the shadows from the trees. You guys look great too though! We actually rescheduled their session a few times because we wanted to make sure we got a nice sunny day for backlight.
One of my favorite techniques is the Brenizer Method. This is a compilation of 8 photos stitched together to create the final image.
This row of trees though. Doesn’t get much more romantic.
Between these two love birds and the beautiful Wege Center, we really couldn’t go wrong. The weather was finally just right, the trails were gorgeous, the sun was shining, and we were all excited for the session. Now we look forward to the wedding in June!
I’m curious – do you know of any other hidden gems like the Wittenbach/Wege Center? Feel free to share your favorite trails or natural areas in West Michigan in the comment section below.
