TornadoFinalPINIMAGE‘Dream Beast’

This one of my favorite images I created for my series which is being displayed at the Holland Area Arts Council. As dreamers and entrepreneurs we face risks and are often challenged in our journey.  Taking on our demons is all a part of it no matter how much it pains us.

The Unattended Dream - Alejandro PhotographyPINIMAGE‘Unattended Dreams’

A simple piece I created from the series. We dream the most when we are caught in our own world, our own thoughts. Dr. Suess said it best, “All alone! whether you like it or not, alone will be something you’ll be quite a lot.”  My ideas come best to me when I am lost in my thoughts.

‘The Best Dream’

This is a piece I did over a year and half ago. It went well with this series so I decided to make it a part of it. I really wanted to create a piece where I was floating or flying. Have you ever had a dream like that? They are my favorite. To go along with the series I feel that it also represents the way we tend to lose ourselves in our thoughts whether they’re good or bad.  Similar to a dream.

‘Wake Me’

A huge thank you to my cousin Roy for being a model for this shot.  Another piece similar to ‘Unattended Dreams’.

I shot this at a bridge tucked away at the Kent Trails here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I’ve wanted to do a concept there for a while now.  I tried two different concepts here that day.  One of them failed pretty badly but we nailed this one.  You can interpret it how you feel.  I like this piece a lot.

‘La Nueva Aventura’

This is the final piece of the series. That’s my old man Chino with me. We took this shot in my living room. This shot means a lot to me for a few reasons. The main reason is due the fact that Chino has been with me for longer than any human has in the past 10 years. He’s been with me through thick and thin. Cheers to us, Chino.
